Dear Parents
I hope you and your loved ones had a very nice Christmas. As we begin the New Year, I would like to wish you the best for 2009. May God bless you with lots of peace, happiness, and great health.
Faithful God, Guardian of this New Year,
I set aside my fears, worries, concerns,
I open my life to mystery, to beauty, to hospitality, to questions,
to the endless opportunities of discovering You in my relationships,
and to all the silent wisps of wonder that will draw me to Your heart.
I welcome Your unfailing Presence and walk with hope into this New Year.
Help me to be faithful, to be generous, to be Yours.

SECOND ANNUAL CHRISTMAS GIFT SALE
Our Christmas Gift Sale was a big success. My deepest appreciation to the Development Committee for all their hard work and dedication. A very special and heartfelt thank you to Maria Isho, Debbie Vasquez, and her friend, Mary Lou Gonzalez, who spent hours and hours making the beautiful baskets and putting everything together.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM/FANTASY DRAWING 2008
What a wonderful and special night that was! The children were awesome and you parents were great. Thank you, PTO Board, for providing those delicious snacks and refreshments and for all your hard work with the Gift Baskets. Thank you to the parents who donated items for the baskets and to the Room Parents for working so hard. Thank you, also, to the alumni who did such a wonderful job serving the food. The 7th grade had the basket with the highest bid. Congratulations!
ST. MARTHA’S SCHOOL WEB PAGE
Our webpage is finally up and running! You can now visit us at http://www.stmarthaval.org/ and stay abreast with everything that is going on at St. Martha’s School. Please fill out the enclosed survey and return it to school by Friday, January 9th. Eventually, we would like to do away with the monthly envelope and the hard copies we are sending home just about everyday. Thus, we need to know how many of you have access to the internet at home, at work, or at both. Please let us know. Thank you!
Best wishes for a Grace-filled New Year 2009!
